a chronic illness simulation game.
you think you have a chronic illness, but you don't know what. all you know is you are always in some state of pain. you've been to too many doctors to count... but you still have to live your life.
how long will it take for you to get a diagnosis?
maybe one day a doctor will take my symptoms seriously in real life, too
Really quick game to play. It puts you in the POV of someone with chronic pain and the stress of managing money, pain, and energy. The doctors also felt realistic if you've ever delt with dismissive or patronizing doctors before. I'm not surprised since npckc tend to make really empathetic games.
Really good game, so good in fact I cannot bring myself to play it anymore. I relate to this so much with my meds (more emotional that actually chronic) and I just cannot stomach playing it more.

short, but very real experience that unfortunately many people live through. the repetition aspect mimic the exact everyday life of people struggling like this. it's sad but it happens, I hope healthcare dismissal will become less and less until it stops altogether, no one deserves to live like that :(.
