While it still has room to grow in enemy variety, item explanation and mission diversity, the core gameplay loop remains strong. Wreck Runners exists in a world filled with extraction games, but it does a pretty good job of differentiating itself.
Overall, Wreck Runners can be a fun experience here and there. And if you are looking to dive into the “friendslop” genre, especially on console, it’s an okay start. However, don’t go into it expecting a deep story or even specific gameplay mechanics. Because even though the co-op is there, it’s what you and your friends do that makes it count.
