The World War began in August 1914. It is now March 1964, and war still wages on. The Russian October Revolution has taken place, but the Bolsheviks were crushed by the mad Baron Ugenberg. He plans to build a huge Russo-Mongolian empire that stretches from the Atlantic to Vladivostok, crushing any opposition in his wake.
Updated version/sort-of remaster of the game Ironstorm (original released 2002, the update is from 2005). Interesting and unique but not really that good.
Pros:
-Cool dieselpunk environment and gear.
-Interesting idea for a setting (WW1 is still going in the 1960s).
-Enemy AI is somewhat competent and will actually use cover.
-Having to fight for control...
As someone who enjoyed the original Iron Storm back when it came out, I can say that this version of the game is neither an upgrade or a downgrade. Its more an "Alternate Version."
I very much enjoyed the original, but it was a very Janky game with serious bugs and glitches. Some of which soft locked progression. The difficulty spikes were due to overpowered...
Perhaps the first and so far only Alt-History LARP in a video game.
This is a game remake of IRON STORM? Are you serious? World War Zero is a technical downgrade compared to Iron Storm. I've seen better from high school students.
