Warlocks 2: God Slayers is a simply correct game. The many bugs that we will find in it weigh down a game that has good ideas, but if it had had a few more months of development, it would have been better stopped.

Warlocks 2: God Slayers sets itself on an ambitious path which many players will quickly feel attracted to. The problem is, for all its quality animations and well-written dialogues, Warlocks II simply does not play well enough to provide a memorable, enjoyable experience. Adding to all its gameplay flaws a very inconvenient and unchangeable control...
The drawbacks don't distract too much from an otherwise satisfying cooperative side-scrolling action RPG mashup.
Warlocks 2 brings a beautifully crafted pixel world to life in a not so unique fashion as a RPG Platformer.
Overall, Warlocks 2: God Slayers is not perfect, but it definitely plays like it. With extensive replay incentive, charming quirks, in-depth customization, and satisfying combat, it is hard not to recommend this title. It is a fun metroidvania package, and one worth a try even if the genre isn't your favorite and/or hasn't stood out.
