Dethrone the Zodiacs, revive the Golden Age and purge the Heretics that swarm the galaxy as Virgo, the queen of Purity, in this unforgiving timed actions turn-based JRPG.
Virgo versus the Zodiac is a game with a very interesting system that will be challenging, although it may be unfair at times, and with an engaging story.
While technical issues can hinder the experience, they don't eclipse the overall brilliance of the turn-based RPG, Virgo Versus the Zodiac. With some patches to address glitches and the addition of an auto-save feature, this game could reach even greater heights.
Virgo Versus The Zodiac does a fantastic job of creating a world run by the western zodiac signs filled with their personalities, experiences, and dreams. It has gorgeous visuals with phenomenal music (seriously, that soundtrack SLAPS) and tongue-in-cheek writing with moments of seriousness befitting the story. Virgo is a fascinating character, navigating a big, bizarre world. Everyone you meet adds to the weird and wonderful flavor of things. The combat is engaging and unique, the premise is compelling, and the presentation is slick. On the other hand, it’s real easy to get lost. Virgo Vs The Zodiac is quite unique, and for the most part is better for it. Personally, I don't see how a game that lets you ride an alpaca and purge heretics could've gone wrong. But the combat and systems don't shake up much over time.
