While this is still a Total War game, it definitely feels like something different. The battles are still the same, though they’re more interesting, especially with the vampire faction focusing more on firearms than traditional melee weaponry. Apart from that, however, most of this DLC is about plundering.

Curse of the Vampire Coast rides a wave of momentum, fully fleshing out the Great Ocean of Total War: Warhammer II. Exploration and treasures abound in the DLC, and is a treat for newcomers and long-time fans alike.
Creative Assembly once again reshapes the rules in which armies battle each other in Total War: Warhammer II, adds meaningful mechanics and gives the Vampire Coast enough flavor for a dozen more playthroughs.
Following the amazing Tomb Kings expansion, I wasn't expecting to see yet another curve ball, but The Curse of the Vampire Coast mostly delivers it.
Curse of the Vampire Counts is a welcome excuse to jump back into Total War: Warhammer II, as Creative Assembly continues to impress with their newest faction.
