This is a really fun take on a Rogue-like / card builder / city sim. At first it is really easy but as your village grows into a city it feels like a balancing act of the resources. The way you design your city has pros and cons for the entire game, which can be frustrating but also is rewarded at every turn by the many different offerings of card....
Something about the gameplay loop is deeply flawed, all it feels like you are doing after a while is just refreshing shops and your hand over and over and over
It's a fun game. You can't expect too much as it is free to play, but it wasn't bad. I'd play a little more in my free time.
For being a demo/prologue the game is a surprisingly fleshed-out gaming experience...
These Doomed Isles is a rogue-like tower-defense city-builder god sim card game.
The full release will seemingly feature multiple gods with different perks and ways they change and influence the game and some QOL features including a creative mode to build peacefully.
