Unfortunately, there’s a lot to try and take in with a half-baked DLC, which for what it’s worth to someone who loves a challenge, enjoyed because of the challenge. The Kraken is a short but entertaining mission that breaks up the semi-seriousness of the main game.
Just an average DLC with a few hours of gameplay. But at least there are some nice vistas to gaze upon.
If you're looking for a reason to get back into The Surge 2, The Kraken is a good one. The base game has a lot of replayability because of "New Game +" mode that adds even more powerful weapons and challenges. The two put together offer a compelling experience because you can become truly unstoppable with the help of The Kraken's side quest.
The Surge 2: The Kraken offers a new area to explore, new enemies to fight, new items to find and new side-quests to complete. Sadly, the new content is not particularly meaningful, and the short length makes the DLC a worthy purchase only for those who love the main campaign.
