The Quiet Flat
A huge thanks to Firzy for the copy of this one. The Quiet Flat is a short first-person horror made by a single dev, set in a Soviet apartment, and it took me just over 30 minutes to finish. The sound design carried it for me. Footsteps, running water, light switches, keys, the scares, the ambient noise behind the walls all keep you locked...
A chilling first-person thriller in which a visit to the empty apartment of a deceased father turns into a nightmare. Familiar surroundings and old belongings no longer offer comfort: something terrifying lurks within.
The story is really good, and has quite a nice run time over all. Graphically it's good, the level design can be way more polished and so for the animations. Too much jumpscares tho, would be scarier if there were more atmospheric horror.
Anyway, very enjoyable.
