Reception

The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails, is a great game with solid world-building and an amazing soundtrack to back it up. The characters are enthusiastic and fun, and the gameplay, while somewhat simple, is enjoyable nonetheless. A couple of very minor design issues have carried over from the original PSP version, but they don't take much away from...

A lighter side-entry into the Trails series, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails may not engross you in its narrative, but will surely charm you with its carefree nature.

With nostalgic DNA, the remaster of The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails should please longtime Falcom fans, but newer fans may not fit too well into the "loop" and constraints of the original release.

The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails is an absolute gem, and one of Nihon Falcom's best games period. It's a simple, bite-sized, and endlessly rewarding action RPG that brings all the charm of a hand-held adventure to the big screen without missing a beat.

The game is an adventure that will keep you entertained for a few good hours, both because of its simple narrative but with captivating characters, and because it is extremely enjoyable to play. Who knows, maybe after Nayuta, I'll give Nihon Falcon's other titles a chance.
