"The Experiment" is a multiplayer escape room puzzle game for virtual reality or desktop PC! You took part in an experiment that went out of control, can you escape facilities before it's too late?
WARNING! It's impossible to solve one of the puzzles on lowest graphic settings.
I've been in many real life escape rooms in the past couple of years and I can say this game felt like a genuine escape room experience that can be played on pc. You can either play the game as single player and take your time with more difficult puzzles or play with friends and enjoy it as you would normally do in an escape room.
The game environment...
The only "experiment" going on in this game is to see whether or not you can escape the refund timer. This is almost identical to a DLC from this developeres previous game. The puzzles were so basic as to not be puzzles and myself and my friend were constantly overestimating the complexity needed to solve each step. There is no story and no mystery...
I, and my best friend, have thoroughly enjoyed Onskull escape room games thus far and would normally recommend them to any puzzle enthusiasts, but I cannot recommend The Experiment in its current version if you play with a partner.
The reason being:
- We bought the game.
- We joined the same lobby. (My friend and I.)
- We started the escape room
BUT!...
This is the single worst VR game I have ever played.
-90% of the objects in the room arent interactable
-Items pop in and out of focus when you move your head
-Music is basically the jaws theme tune playing on a loop
-Environment is dead and lifeless
-Objects get lost through the floor/walls which is game breaking
-Some rooms are simply too dark to...
