Great game; poorly optimized version.
Thankfully there's a remake, which does do justice to the esteemed legacy of this superb puzzler.

Overview
The 7th Guest is a horror adventure described as "the first Interactive Drama", with plentiful pre-rendered 3D graphics, live action video clips, and an original, orchestrated musical score. The atmosphere is dense, the puzzles difficult and the experience as a whole is completely horrifying.

This game was for it's time beautiful, moody. ahead of its time and super boring after a short while.
I can't imagine someone playing this for the puzzles because they suck a bit.

This is a horror puzzle game.... it's old and cheesy.... but I have a lot of great memories playing this game.... probably not for everyone.....

This is my favorite puzzle game of all time! I've replayed so many times that I know the Stauf Mansion better than my own house, and yet am still discovering something new every now and then. Don't play the 25th Anniversary Edition if you can help it, though.
