Currently completely unable to play with a friend via hosting. If he hosts, I load into a blank screen, and if I host, he has a blank screen for character selection.

Based on camera controls alone, this does not deserve your time. For some reason, the right joystick controls the height of the camera instead of its angle. It's also horizontally inverted by default. You have to wonder if this was playtested by anyone that has played a third person game before.

You better have 3 friends or 4 monitors.
Would be a really nice game, but playing it with mouse and keyboard is super annoying.
The mouse constantly moves on the second monitor outside of the game...

The game doesnt get any updates/fixes, so that wont change.
A very fun game to play with your friends. There seems to be a solo mode, but I guess it was really meant to be played with other people.
