Tank Squad is a tactical-combat action game. Take part in big tank battles during World War II. Play single-player or coop (4 players). Repair your tanks, replenish supplies, manage the crew and get back to the action!
I really want to recommend this but I just cant...well at least not yet!
The one main gripe of mine with this is it's quite frankly unrealistic damage/penetration system for vehicles weapons. For example the standard 8.8cm (PzGr. 39) round fired from a Tiger I (from historical reports) can roughly penetrate around 100mm of armour at 1,000 meters yet...
So there I am, in a 55t Tiger I, firing my 7.92 coax at some pesky infantry while wondering why my screen is shaking like an asp leave in the wind. Tell me, why would a 55t tank shake from firing a mounted medium machine gun?
That's just one of many issues. Optimization is poor, controls are...I don't even know how to describe them, bugs, glitches,...
Dont enter this game expecting a fully released title. I feel this game is still closer to an early access if nothing else. That being said its a pretty good Early access title. Its got the bones and potential for a lot of really cool things. I think it needs a lot of polishing and it crashes more often than it should, but its definitely a game I really...
This is a diamond in the rough, and well worth supporting the devs who've been consistently working and improving this game. I've been playing this with a friend, and we've had a great time in the immersive battlefields Tank Squad provides. $20 bucks - that's a good price for what it already is, and a small price for what's to come. I recommend it.
It's fun... but the process of aiming while in the single player gunners sight view is extremely painful. It's unreasonably low sensitivity and the sensitivity settings aren't fixing it. It's not a question of low rotation - the turret is capable of rotating much faster from the out-of-tank view, it's more that I'm having to drag, pick up my mouse and...
