Your favourite explorer, Tad Stones is back! Embark with Tad and his friends on a new journey through different cities where you will encounter challenging puzzles in your quest to get the emerald tablet.
While there’s a certain old-school Pitfall-esque vibe to it, the floaty controls and lackluster play disappoint
Tad the Lost Explorer and the Emerald Tablet is a return to the type of licensed game we thought had died out a while ago. It follows the events of the movie without bothering to get anyone else up to speed, the platforming is perfunctory, and it looks mostly nice if you don't look deeply into it. The game's low difficulty level makes it a good choice...
Tad the Lost Explorer is a nice-looking 3D platformer that sends you around the world to solve puzzles, discover treasures, and prove that you are a great explorer. There are issues with some of the puzzles where completing it doesn't trigger the next event correctly, so you may need to replay sections.
Tad the Lost Explorer has a number of technical and conceptual limitations. But considering the universe in which it is inspired and the audience it targets, the game has merits in adopting a light tone and a silly humor like few titles nowadays and thus proving to be a fun experience to share with the family.
Tad the Lost Explorer comes with good intentions and [it's] based on a fun animation, but its technical issues turn it into a very weak title among other options inspired by cartoons and movies. It isn't horrendous, but think twice before starting this exploration that's as clumsy as its protagonist.
