Super Nano Blaster is a shoot-em-up offering single-player and local co-op modes, that transports you to a retro-style digital universe. Delve into technology with your vessel and destroy anything that gets in your way!
Quick Score: 5/5
Notes: I'm not a shmup enthusiast by any means, but I like this game quite a bit. Pretty challenging but very fair. The standard story mode does away with the whole live/continues meme and just gives you checkpoints. Once you finish story mode you unlock the more traditional arcade mode. As of this review no one has cleared arcade mode...
I am normally not good at shoot-em-up games but this one was pretty enjoyable. I definitely love that there are different difficulty modes so I can play easy mode and actually make progress in the game. I had fun!
Super Nano Blaster is a really fun shoot'em up where your ship can switch between two dimensions, each one having its own enemies and decor. This switch mechanic could remind you of Ikagura but it's actually pretty different in practice.
In order to succeed, you'll have to learn to see what's in both dimensions all at once, which is not easy at first...
There shouldn't be enemies spawning in the middle and on the lower sides.
What a fun classic shooter! I enjoyed the difficulty options as well as the level design and multiple ship options. Local co-op is a nice addition as well. The boss fights can be challenging, but fair. Definitely work a look, and try the demo out to find out for yourself.
