It's relatively sad, because, as it's been said, it is a bad port.
This being said, all of the issues can be overcome, and you can have an enjoyable experience with a few precautions.

This is a re-release of the original PC port from 1999, as such it has all the problems you'd expect. Broken options, bad gamepad support, no support for higher resolutions, and other glitches. After playing for ~15 minutes the framerate goes to crap and you have to reboot the game to make it work again, apparently a common issue. Cool game but probably...

Personally I enjoyed the game for the nostalgia. One of the first games i ever played on computer. Starshot is a super old game, and therefore plays like it.
