Rising from the dead with his mind intact but memories missing, Sonny embarks on a massive adventure to uncover the truth and save the world in this challenging turn-based post-apocalyptic RPG. Battling overzealous paramilitary forces, ravenous mutated techno-beasts, undead monstrosities and more, Sonny must master his ever-evolving combat skills to gain the upper hand.
A reimagining of the cult-hit series played by millions, Sonny is a combat-focused RPG crafted for planning and strategy. While it starts simple, the gameplay quickly gains depth and complexity as Sonny and his team learn and evolve new skills and gameplay mechanics. You'll need creativity and cunning calculation to win, but nobody will make it through unscathed. Featuring stunning artwork by Jet Kimchrea and an engrossing original score by David Orr.
I would play it since I am very nostalgic thowards the old games and we are not getting anything else.
Now when I say I recommend this, I don't mean to new people who've never even heard of it. If I am completely honest with everyone, there's better out there in terms of RPGs, but for someone like me who played the original, this is a swan song and I love everything about it. I love how it feels in comparison to the original, I love the new art style...
It's very fun, but it is a reboot, so it isn't faithful to the story.
This isn't quite what I remember from back in the day, it feels like a remake of the old game I used to play on Y8. It looks cleaner and is much easier than the original version from my childhood. It's mid, if you want the exact nostalgic experience, I'd recommend looking for the Legacy version on Steam instead.
At least this Sonny has ending and has multiple strains unlike the animated one.
