Snacktorio is a factory-cooking simulator where you must satisfy the appetites of unspeakable horrors... with food! Build and manage sprawling networks of machines & pipes to mass produce delicious meals that can satiate the endless hunger of the beasts that are invading your home. Order Up!
One of my favorite factory building games.
It hits a sweet spot for me, where there's still a ton of optimization and planning to care about but focused in a way that a lot of factory builders are not.
You're here to feed the monsters and your beautiful machine can be efficient or not - you can make a hyper-compact, tileable, perfect resource usage...
More challenging than it is fun. The art is cute, the music is nice. I really wanted to love it. But as of this point (end of 2nd world, and I've done all the challenges and stars), it's quickly become a grind. You spend more time walking the map, and rearranging furnaces so you don't box yourself in, than you do making the food and serving monsters.
5/10...
I'm very conflicted. The core gameplay loop is very fun, especially if you enjoy this sort of game. I do think what makes or breaks a factory game is the controls and QOL. Both of those thing are seriously lacking i feel. Building feels very clunky. Machines all feel like they take a few too many unnecessary clicks to place, pipes orient themselves...
Fun, challenging, and relaxing <3 Super well designed with cool and interesting mechanics.
Works perfect on Linux.
Excellent pixel art.
Excellent puzzle-based factory building and progression.
Supportive developer.
