First-person psychedelic horror set in the far future. In the last known city on Earth, people are disappearing in their sleep. Those who remain exist in a crisis of reckless experiments to keep awake. Katja must navigate depraved death cults, otherworldly forces, and the ever-present horror of The HUSH, to save herself and those who rely upon her.
Sleep Awake is an atmospheric and mysterious game in which dreams and reality intertwine. With minimalist, hypnotic graphics, a subtle soundtrack and creative puzzles, the game offers a unique experience that you will discover slowly and will stay with you for a long time
A brief, bizarre, and brilliant trip. SLEEP AWAKE offers a mind-bending story that leaves you dizzy and lightheaded, pure, simple magic.
Sleep Awake is more of a collection of music videos with beautiful visuals and pleasant sound, presented as a pretentious walking simulator about a dying world. The developers would have been better off stopping there.
With the introduction being a bit of a puzzle itself with what it expected me to accomplish, it lacked any true immersion. As I consider immersion to be one of the most important aspects in the horror genre, it made Sleep Awake feel incredibly lackluster overall.
For the price, it feels a bit steep, and you don’t really get a lot out of it since it runs about five to six hours and has very thin gameplay, while leaning hard on the surrealist horror imagery.
