Silica is a crossover of FPS and RTS where up to 3 factions battle for control over the planet of Baltarus. Lead from above as commander, or experience the action first-hand, either alone, or with friends. Join one of two human armies, or hunt them down as the territorial aliens.
I've had the game since launch and almost nothings really changed in the 3-ish years. The human factions arent just a carbon copy anymore but we've lost a full game mode and story has become locked "until later". Maps look neat but play horrid. Unit pathfinding is frustrating. Units get stuck while moving, and grouping them together can...

**Not Recommended**
Silica is a diamond in a VERY rough spot. There's good in it and real potential, but as it stands I can't recommend it.
**The Cons**
- **Pathing is frustrating.** Harvesters are HUGE. They look great, but their size works against them 90% of the time. Move a group of units around structures and they clip right into them. Then you...
