A great atmosphere completely ruined by a broken, aging engine.
If you are thinking of buying Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (2008) on a modern PC, stay away. While the Lovecraft-meets-Sherlock story is incredibly cool, the Steam version is a technical nightmare that Frogwares has completely abandoned.

I really enjoyed this one out of the other two (Arsene Lupin and Jack the Ripper) games I previously played. I think because it had hints of supernatural in them and the fact that they went to more places compared to the other two.. I would probably prefer testament of Sherlock Holmes if I could get the game working but I can't.. unfortunately.
