Reception

SBK22 is the return through the front door of one of the great motorcycling sagas.

If you equate MotoGP to F1 Racing, then Superbikes are the street car version. What this means in terms of gameplay is the Superbikes are less maneuverable and responsive. So they feel clunky and less enjoyable to ride. With such a driving model, you have to be more precise with your driving. If you find MotoGP 21 tough, you ain’t seen nothing yet....

SBK 22 brings on the one hand the deep driveability characterizing Milestone's motorcycle simulations, but on the other hand it comes across almost as a clone of MotoGP 21, stingy in content and with various issues in urgent need of correction. Recommended only if you have not previously played the last MotoGP games.

SBK 22 is now available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows.

SBK 22 has a solid core for fans of the sport who want to sink time and master their bike, but it's not a game you're going to want to go into blindly.
