Reception

Sam & Max make a largely triumphant return, with a reminder of just how special and stupid a series it can be. Save the World benefits the most from the overhaul, but Beyond Time and Space remains the peak of this former Telltale Games series.

Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space improves on the previous chapter in every respect and, thanks to Skunkape Games' excellent remastered work, becomes the best way to enjoy Steve Purcell's freelance police force. The writing is still phenomenal and relevant today, while the play offering continues to be generous and varied. Although it can be enjoyed...

Other than the puzzle conundrum, the second season offers more of what made the series a hit. Fans of the first season will greatly enjoy this second run. While it isn't necessary to play the first one to jump on this wagon, it is highly recommended, as there are plenty of returning characters and in-game jokes and references that you might miss if...

Both Sam & Max Save the World and Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space remain great games after all these years. These remasters honor what made the originals special, while simultaneously modernizing the games. Updated graphics, audio, and accessibility features are just a few of the quality-of-life improvements found in these charmingly bizarre yet well-crafted...

Another great remastering of an already-great title. There isn't too much new here, but it looks lovely and minor quality of life improvements make the difference. If you haven't got the original then this is one to pick up and if you have it's still worth it to play it at its best.
