Saints Row IV is an open-world action-adventure game with third-person shooter combat and a heavy science fiction and comedy bent. It is the fourth main entry in the Saints Row series and the last of the original storyline. Players freely explore a simulated version of the city of Steelport, taking on story missions and side activities, and gain superpowers such as super speed, high jumps, and elemental attacks that reshape how they move and fight. The player character is highly customizable, and a two-player cooperative mode is supported.
"Saint's Row IV is an important game, because it ignores convention in order to be insanely fun – emphasis on the "insane""
The graphics were good considering it was a port to the Nintendo Switch. Undocked, it played smooth and the frame rates were consistent and the graphics looked really smooth on the docked version as well. I have mixed feeling towards this game and I am heavily conflicted as to if I really enjoyed the experience or not. The opening was very enjoyable...
It’s still a fun ride, but the price of admission is steep for something that a) came out seven years ago and b) doesn’t have everything in it but is still charging more for it. The choice is yours, but I would wait until we get a price drop that is equal to the other versions of this game.
Saints Row 4 is one of the most beloved games in the cult-classic franchise, and it works surprisingly well as a portable game with a huge fun-factor.
It's rude, it's crude, and until Rockstar decides to port something better than LA Noire over or Sucker Punch stops being a Sony studio, it is the most fun you're going to have in an open world crime or mayhem type game on the Switch.
