There is only you and the Forest. In "Rooten" there are no compulsory tasks, time just goes by, and days pass by independently of you. You can explore the Forest, try to get out, or even do nothing at all. The forest has always been here, and always will be. You won't change it no matter what.
Rooten is a great horror adventure. It's not that scary, but it has a great mood & exploring gameplay. I'm a big fan of the in-game mechanic of time that goes by itself and brings feel of a daily routine that gets worse every day. In the first days it feels like there's too much time for you, but you'll lose that feeling as the game progress. Art somehow...

Rooten is a very mysterious horror walking sim with a slow pace and a dark atmosphere. Music and sound effects perfectly set the dreary mood of the game.

But when you arrive, you find the place empty. The next transport out of the island will only...
Nice little game with a great narrative and atmosphere reminiscent of the Darkwood or Annihilation (the movie).
It's definitely worth playing if you like the dense forest mood, meditative walks in the fog, and living mushrooms...
Intriguing concept
with EXCRUCIATING gameplay.
The game only lets you WALK and only offers extremely repetitive pattern of play.
You need to find your way around the forest and you only walk.
This, you need to do 7 f#$king times in order to watch the ending.
The game takes about an hour and a half to finish
and every minute was pain in the a*s.
If you...
