Overview

Prepare for a different kind of poker night in a very different kind of club. In Poker Night at the Inventory, you'll deal with Penny Arcade's clever, cunning Tycho, Team Fortress 2's hulking Heavy, Homestar Runner's self-proclaimed "awesome icon" Strong Bad and the hyperkinetic "rabbity-thing" from Sam & Max. These characters come together in ways some never thought possible, in a setting few would have predicted. Unlock new TF2 items by beating The Heavy, Max, Tycho, or Strong Bad at high stakes games of poker.

Reception

A plain poker game whose main attraction is the four characters from various franchises. Serves to answer the question: what do video game characters do when they are off duty.

Modest though it may be, Poker Night at the Inventory proves to be as fun as ever. And while it's easy to wish for more, the game is only $9.99. To quote Strong Bad, that's "Chump change, I say. Chump change!" The game's charming personality guarantees you'll be busting it out for a tournament or two every now and again.

The amount of enjoyment you’ll get from Poker Night at the Inventory depends heavily on both your love of poker and knowledge of these relics from another time.

Poker Night at the Inventory might not change how you feel about poker games, but it does remind you that simple ideas can make something fun and lasting when they are combined with smart writing and memorable characters. The AI could use some work, the buy-in rules could be better, and a percentage gauge would be a nice touch, but these are all minor...

Poker Night at the Inventory is been a great portable game for the Steam Deck and great to play at home
