The First Samurai doesn't end the tale of Nioh 2 in a satisfying way but it does provide a meaningful and fun loot experience. Bbrutal new enemies and new gameplay modes makes the complete package of this game something truly special.

The last DLC for Nioh 2 hardly stands out in any way and ends up showing the lack of new content. It is still a good expansion after all, but very limited and full of recycling material, which serves only as a complement and an ending for the Team Ninja game.
Nioh 2: The First Samurai feels like the least complete DLC out of the three, and its not an exciting finale as it should be.
Overall, if you're a fan of Nioh 2 and desire some more Yokai slashing action, then there is definitely enough on offer here to justify picking this up. My main issue is that this DLC, much like the final DLC for the first game, is where I just finally have become burnt out on being expected to run through another full playthrough on an extremely crushing...
The First Samurai is the first piece of content in the entire Nioh franchise that feels underwhelming. Outside of the great boss battles and boss designs, the rest of DLC just feels bland and uninspired. The First Samurai simply doesn't do enough to give the franchise the farewell it deserves .
