Reception

While Khaos Reigns extends the experience of the enjoyable Mortal Kombat 1, the story expansion itself is nothing to write home about. The six new fighters are the meat of the experience, with some fun returning characters from past games and three well-realised guest characters, some of which have shaken up the meta in a positive way. An expensive Kombat Pack 2 with an unsatisfying storyline attached. If you don't play active multiplayer or aren't a fan, you can wait for additional second-party characters to arrive or get a solid discount before buying.

Three additional characters and brutal Animalities are overshadowed by an uneven, head-scratching story expansion.

The content of the new single-player campaign is, at best, average. It's hard to justify the investment of almost R$250 for three good characters, the promise of other future fighters, which we still don't know how they will work, a few skins, arenas and a tiny story mode.

Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns is a DLC poor in content, which does not justify its excessive cost. The new balance fixes some issues from the past, but there is still a long way to go.
