I played this game for several years in the 2010's and had my own alliance as captain. Due to my job at the time, i was able to play at all hours of the day, but the gacha system is EXTREMELY Predatorial. 5 stars are the only serious heroes in the game, and anything below a 4 Star is trash. Add constant boring battles to progress, and you wonder why...

Overview
Developed by Demiurge Studios, "Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign" features team-based gameplay for the first time ever in the Puzzle Quest franchise. Players will assemble a team of three characters with upgradable abilities, choosing from a roster of heroes and villains alike, all to combat a common enemy. With this team-based gameplay comes a new level of strategy and customization, allowing audiences to call upon specific heroes that are best suited for the job and to create an ultimate Marvel dream team

I highly discorage this game, very boring and simple, skills are simple used match.
Match-3 puzzles become surprisingly tactical when every color powers a different superhero ability. Building teams around Marvel heroes and villains adds plenty of strategy - apparently Thanos can be defeated with the right combination of colorful gems.
Game just stopped working almost like server closed.
It's second level brain work, not just mindless match
