Very fun game for people who like challenges.
\nIt's tough at first but once you get used to the controls and the Maids's skills, it gets easier.
\nI totally recommand to use the electric ability all the time to get extra speed, it helps a lot to climb hills easy.
\nOnly change to Fire ability if you really need to.
\nThe lewd unlocks are a nice reward for all the hard work.
\nThis game also has so many secrets that you can hunt for. Just beating the game's 5 worlds is not all the game has to offer.
\nIt's hours and hours of entertainment but you have to learn how to play correctly with the abilities otherwise it might seem very hard without them.

Babe, wake up. Molegato updated their Marble Maid editor.

Well sh*t, here we go again.

No one asked for it, but I came back to talk about Marble Maid because I had so much fun breaking the game the first time. I already played the demo and wrote a review back then, but it was tragically lost when the full game came out. So I can’t really compare if there were improvements. I also kinda forgot how the first game played, so I won’t compare them much either.

Well, let’s start on a positive note with...

THE GOOD

\n
There’s now a pause menu! You can die and restart more easily. That’s a big improvement that really helps.
\n
\n
One thing I remember from the demo was that the gallery worked like in the first game, where you had to walk up to pictures on the wall to make them appear. Now it’s a book. Much easier to read and access — thanks!
\n
\n
The art is still very good.
\n
\n
My controller now works with the game. At first, it didn’t, but after some time it magically did, so... cool, I guess?
\n
\n
Fire and electricity are interesting. The fireball is, I think, very OP — but I don’t mind because it makes breaking the game even more fun.
\n
\n
Wardrobe! They added a wardrobe to customize your maid. I think it’s a pretty nice addition. Personally, I think like 90% of the balls are ugly and things only get interesting at the end with fun ones like the Goo ball. Most of the special effects are just reused from the game itself. The costumes are pretty nice, but there are only four — one being the default maid from the first game. It could’ve been better, but hey, it’s still a nice touch.
\n

THE BAD

\n
The game LAGS???? This game has levels that lag like crazy. I think I have a decent PC and yet... this half-empty shell made me lag.
\n
\n
Level design is a complete mess: random elements everywhere, inconsistent difficulty, and locked doors that can easily be bypassed. Feels like something a 5-year-old made in Super Mario Maker (so I guess it's thematically appropriate?).
\n
\n
Bonus coins are sometimes completely hidden underwater, making them unfairly hard to find.
\n
\n
There’s literal fire underwater. Not only does that make no sense, it’s also hard to see and super frustrating when it damages you.
\n
\n
You can still die in the HUB world.
\n
\n
Sometimes your character moves incredibly slowly for no reason — feels like Mario 64: Heavy Edition.
\n
\n
Boosts/bonuses depend on your character’s facing direction, not the camera. And since it’s Mario 64: Heavy Edition, sometimes your character doesn’t even move in the direction your stick is pointing because it needs a bit of momentum first. It messes you up. I don’t know if that’s understandable here, but in-game it’s really frustrating.
\n
\n
The HUD feels way too big and intrusive. I think it needs to be smaller or disappear when not needed. Like, look at any good platformer — none of them have three GIANT CUBES IN EVERY CORNER FOR INFO.
\n
\n
Bread. They literally used bread as trampolines in a level called “Moldy Bread”… and the bread isn’t even moldy. 0/10, refunded. But seriously, it feels recycled from the first game. If it had been moldy, it could’ve contrasted with the original. Missed opportunity.
\n
\n
Some checkpoints are placed way too close to spikes, so sometimes you respawn and lose time trying to gain momentum without getting instantly killed.
\n
\n
The hub world doesn’t remember which gates you’ve opened, so every time you return, you have to press the buttons again. Not a huge deal, but it feels unpolished.
\n
\n
The pinball boss minigame is creative in concept but poorly executed. The camera is too far, physics are janky, coins and bunnies are hard to see, and you can still control your character mid-game, which just makes things messy.
\n
\n
The final boss is a joke:
\n
- Climbing up to her takes 30 seconds, and you have to do it every time you die.
\n
- Electric attacks kill you even in electric mode.
\n
- Lava doesn’t hurt her??
\n
- When she’s knocked out, there’s no clear way to deal damage.
\n
- Sometimes a required barrel just doesn’t spawn, breaking the fight entirely.
\n
\n
There’s a golf minigame. I want to compare it to the kart level pack from the first game — and I guess it’s technically better? The karts were super buggy and messy. The golf game isn’t great either. It’s just… there.
\n

THE UGLY (bugs)

\n
You can get stuck infinitely on an electric line, sometimes softlocking you until you restart the level.
\n
\n
A bug from the first game is still there: you can go back to the spawn platform and cheese the boss fight. It’s even easier now with the cannonball.
\n
\n
Switching to electric mode too close to a line doesn’t snap you onto it like it should.
\n
\n
Some electric lines just don’t work — for example, in the “Moldy Bread” level, one doesn’t activate, making it nearly impossible to get an electric bunny that can use the pole.
\n
\n
The camera still hates you. It clips into walls, and sometimes it’s hard to navigate the level or the hub because of it.
\n
\n
After finishing the game and coming back a day later, all the levels were marked as if I never collected all the bunnies — even though I’d completed 80–90% of them. So now I have no idea which levels I didn’t 100%. Great.
\n

Ok, I’ve had enough of this game.

What did you expect???

It’s just more of the first game with new additions and new levels. They literally updated their editor. I don’t have much else to say. It’s not that great of a game — but there are improvements, and maybe there’s still a chance to update and patch the bugs.

I think if you liked the first game, you’ll enjoy this one. If you’re new and interested, try the demo — but be very cautious with this game, because it’s definitely not just a lewd version of Monkey Ball.

Well, I can finally rest in peace and go play better lewd games — or even just good normal games.
