Mahou Arms is an anime-inspired character-action hack and slash that tells the story of a magical girl paramilitary group fighting back against an alien invasion.
Could not get into it, feels unfinished in all aspects.
Frustrating too, as the gameplay footage made me believe it would be fun.
TL;DR: Hesitant not recommended, great gameplay, very short game which can be done just under 11 hours, lack of both story and getting thrown into it, and lack of overall lore of the world.
Mahou Arms... what a great, but seemingly disappointing game...
Where do I begin... first I'd like to note that it's a very hesitant not recommended... it's got...
Great combat. It feels fair and is a ton of fun. Enemies aren't too tough. The player characters feel strong, smooth, and fun to play as. I just HATE the top down tank sections. I wish those weren't in the game.
I didn't think this would ever see full release. What started as a true early access game has launched in a pretty decent state. It could be better. but I'm glad it actually got finished.
It's a very hard sell with how much it is now though with the amount of content you actually get, it's a short, focused game with pretty mixed elements but I enjoyed...
Fun game! Love the voice acting! I like the kinda weird graphics. Creative storytelling. Have a few issues with stuttering. Game will freeze for a few moments. Never crashed. But I do love this game so far! Throw a few updates and fix the minor issues and its 100% a recc.
