Magic Encyclopedia: Moon Light follows the same basic design of its predecessor, mixing hidden object and adventure gameplay mechanics. As the heroine, the player has to visit locations around the world, presented as a series of mostly static screens. The objective is to find and click on the scattered pieces of objects, to assemble and store them inside the inventory for later use.
The bottom interface shows several segmented pictures of the broken objects, with each collected piece adding a new part and gradually reassembling them. The complete objects are stored in the inventory at the right side of the screen, from where they can be dragged and dropped on...
This game has release date 2010 and I wanted to see some older piece of HOG. The resolution is lower but hand-drawn pictures are really beautiful. Minigames, puzzles, HO scenes. There is everything you know from modern games. The pieces you are looking for are arranged really precisely in HO scenes and it is sometimes hard to find them. (Due to the...

Some puzzles were okay but the fact that I had to find 1900 microscopic fragments to random objects that just happen to do some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ made...
This is a "fractured object" game (or FROG). It is beautifully done with hand drawn art work as a first consideration, then the hidden object components blended in with the art. The result is really breathtaking in today's world and I was entranced by the effect. (I dislike today's hidden object games with their junk piles of clip art.) Magic Encyclopedia...
This is not really a hidden-object game, but rather a hidden-shape game. The objects are dissected into arbitrary shapes and hidden in the low-resolution background by placing them next to similarly colored and shaped textures. Some of the shapes are very small indeed, really just a handful of pixels of slightly different color from those next to them....
