There's definitely fun to be had in Lock's Quest, it's just unfortunately locked behind a wall of frustrating control issues.
Lock's Quest is a charming tower defense game with a strategic combat system. It features gorgeously animated 16-bit art style and offers plenty of challenge for those who love a good tower defense games. However despite being a remaster, it is not free from its issues.
Lock's Quest is definitely a game worthy of bringing back from obscurity but this version contains performance issues that frequently make it tough to enjoy.
Overall, this remaster is a decent title, though unfortunately is not a remaster that was wanted or memorable
Lock's Quest can be a battle against itself, just as much against the enemy, but when things are clicking (which is most of the time), there's an enjoyable game here despite its frustrations.
