Surprisingly way better than I had expected! In many aspects too:
Content (dungeon, mechanics, upgradables (weapons, skills, items, relations), boss fights (!), cg).
Combat is nicely balanced; I actually had to use many of the given tools and techniques to actually pass the fights. Alchemy and material harvesting feels properly rewarding for the grind.
