I'd give the game a "Good enough for the price!" award.
While the translation isn't exactly perfect and the gameplay loop becomes a little repetitive at the end, overall it was quite fun. The mechanics work well enough and the scenes are pretty good even.
And yeah, the story and characters are meaningless, surprise - you're not gonna play this game...
