for a free \"kart\" game, the gameplay actually feels very good, but right now the game has 1 map and virtually zero progression for solo play. You have a decent looking tutorial seed, maybe you could make that into a map with a few ramps, I don't even care if it does not have as much detail (it looks fine the way it is), and what about those sky roads in the background, can we make that into a map as well if you already have it? I am not sure if you intended to keep working on it, it's not in early access so I am not sure if this is DONE, or just the beginning for a on/off passion project.\nOne neat feature here is that you can offensively crash into other boards, which is usually not a thing in this genre, and you get some neat animations with the boards flying, exploding, and ramming into buildings. The \"one\" stage looks pretty decent, maybe I would like a bit more verticality if you end up making more, but overall I think the game has a really vibrant aesthetic to it, and strangely you can change many colors in the game, not just for the character, but for the menus and the building stripes as well.\nThe momentum and steering feels very on point, I think many games get it wrong, so as far as using the boosters and drifting it feels very on brand with the classic games I remember. Granted, I think in some ways this genre has been figured out many years ago, now we just get slight variations on it, with this game focusing on the crashing mechanic which makes it stand out, even among some mainstream games that don't have it. The item variety is a bit limited for what it is, which is to be expected with a free game, but the actual abilities feel fun to use, and maybe if you keep working on it, 1-3 more items would be ideal.\nI understand that this is probably meant like a simple PVP game with your friends, but I think there is so much good potential here for single player, if we could turn those tutorial/menu seeds into maps, maybe have a little solo-gauntlet with some cosmetic unlocks, at least enough to dump a few hours into it.\nPros:\n(+) A very welcome crash mechanic, many of these games don't have it\n(+) Very nice visuals actually, nice feedback on impact and damage, good music choices. Only one map but it does look very nice.\n(+) Strangely a lot of color customization, for the character, menus, and some parts of the map.\nFeedback:\nFeatures for Replay Value and solo play:\n- please, turn that tutorial seed into a map, and also that background seed, we can't have one map for such a slick game. Also if you do so, maybe lock them behind milestones for progression, and show the player they can be unlocked\n- maybe a little progression gauntlet, you know how like old games just gave you a tree of levels, easy to hard, maybe some currency, and some cosmetic unlocks. If you end up making more maps that is. Even if you just had a panel with unlocks that required you to achieve random milestones to unlock something, or you could lock some stages behind the milestones just so there is something to do\n- could you map the item use on Mouse 1 as well, you mapped enter for item, and look back on mouse 2\nOverall Thoughts:\nIt's awesome that you even got it this far, but I just kinda see an awesome game, that has nothing for me to do. This is surprisingly well made for a free "kart" game, the gameplay actually feels very good, but right now the game has 1 map and virtually zero progression for solo play. You have a decent looking tutorial seed, maybe you could make that into a map with a few ramps, I don't even care if it does not have as much detail (it looks fine the way it is), and what about those sky roads in the background, can we make that into a map as well if you already have it? I am not sure if you intended to keep working on it, it's not in early access so I am not sure if this is DONE, or just the beginning for a on/off passion project.

One neat feature here is that you can offensively crash into other boards, which is usually not a thing in this genre, and you get some neat animations with the boards flying, exploding, and ramming into buildings. The "one" stage looks pretty decent, maybe I would like a bit more verticality if you end up making more, but overall I think the game has a really vibrant aesthetic to it, and strangely you can change many colors in the game, not just for the character, but for the menus and the building stripes as well.

The momentum and steering feels very on point, I think many games get it wrong, so as far as using the boosters and drifting it feels very on brand with the classic games I remember. Granted, I think in some ways this genre has been figured out many years ago, now we just get slight variations on it, with this game focusing on the crashing mechanic which makes it stand out, even among some mainstream games that don't have it. The item variety is a bit limited for what it is, which is to be expected with a free game, but the actual abilities feel fun to use, and maybe if you keep working on it, 1-3 more items would be ideal.

I understand that this is probably meant like a simple PVP game with your friends, but I think there is so much good potential here for single player, if we could turn those tutorial/menu seeds into maps, maybe have a little solo-gauntlet with some cosmetic unlocks, at least enough to dump a few hours into it.

Pros:

(+) A very welcome crash mechanic, many of these games don't have it

(+) Very nice visuals actually, nice feedback on impact and damage, good music choices. Only one map but it does look very nice.

(+) Strangely a lot of color customization, for the character, menus, and some parts of the map.

Feedback:

Features for Replay Value and solo play:

- please, turn that tutorial seed into a map, and also that background seed, we can't have one map for such a slick game. Also if you do so, maybe lock them behind milestones for progression, and show the player they can be unlocked

- maybe a little progression gauntlet, you know how like old games just gave you a tree of levels, easy to hard, maybe some currency, and some cosmetic unlocks. If you end up making more maps that is. Even if you just had a panel with unlocks that required you to achieve random milestones to unlock something, or you could lock some stages behind the milestones just so there is something to do

- could you map the item use on Mouse 1 as well, you mapped enter for item, and look back on mouse 2

Overall Thoughts:

It's awesome that you even got it this far, but I just kinda see an awesome game, that has nothing for me to do. I love the gameplay, I love the feel, but I am alone, maybe I will get the achievements on one map and now what, such wasted potential I feel. This physics engine is so fun, and I feel like I could play through 20 tracks over and over again and never get tired of it, but there is only 1 track. Not a single other track, no time trial mode, and as far as I can tell no way to have online multiplayer with friends. I have been wanting a fun racing game on Steam for forever, and this 100% could be that, but it just needs more. Why isn't the title screen track available for us to race on? That looks like it could be fun as hell? Why is there no time trial mode, I'd love to replay this over and over just improving on my times? I want to play more of this game so bad, and yet I've played through 30 minutes of it and I already feel like I've experienced everything. SlyBalto, if you're reading this I don't want you to be discouraged, I think you have something super special here. But please, keep iterating on it. Give us new tracks, a time trial mode, and a way to play with friends online. I could see this game going far, which is why I recommend downloading it. But in it's current state, it just feels like it's lacking.","html":"
