Step into the paws of a loyal shepherd dog in this atmospheric third-person adventure. Track scents, herd sheep, and navigate the rugged northern wilderness. Face rough weather, natural predators and not so obedient sheeps.
i love playing as Hubert, and the barking. and the fetch. and the sheep.
but i feel like there wasn't a lot of... really anything, for a game tagged as story rich and emotional i was expecting something more impactful... and it could have been, but it was just a bunch of fetch quests (pun intended) that didn't do anything for character growth.
i managed...
I have completed this game's regular easy story-mode and wanted to leave a review to hopefully help the devs and players looking to try the game as well!
Hubert is a story that has been told before, just in a different way. It is reminiscent of stories that I grew up with like The Call of the Wild, mostly, but also the Balto movies and White Fang. The...
I wanna recommend it but I can't. I've been waiting for this game for so long but it isn't the same as in trailers. I'm not sure if Hubert talking threw me off, or the improper intro that didn't build the connection to the dog OR it really lacks the graphics for a player to immerse. I wanna add that guiding sheep is a bit wonky and needs more work....
20 dollars for a game that's at best 2-3 hours long in one sitting... Isn't worth it, so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO WAIT FOR IT TO GO UNDER 10 BUCKS.
Now.. The game is a bit clunky with the controller, and it has platformer moments that will be frustrating but designed like that on purpose to end the dream sequences. The story? While it is beautiful and...
This is going to seem unfair to compare it to Stray. Stray was a near perfect example of what it is like to "be a cat". Hubert doesn't make me feel like I'm "a dog" in the same way.
Hubert's monologue is a huge issue for me, it's overly verbose and he and Lucy seem to have conversations, albiet one sided. It's constant and almost like the devs are scared...
