Build a team of 3 heroes, prepare your deck and dominate tactical battles on a hex grid. Every run demands a different strategy and each card played matters, only going back to your deck on the next run.
It’s really interesting how team composition changes the way you play. I started playing just to test it out, and before I noticed, I had been playing for 2 hours straight.
What got me most excited to keep playing was the possibility of making a sort of perfect run, figuring out which cards would let each hero make the best use of every turn.
I liked...
I don't usually play games like this, but I found this one quite addictive. Trying different team combinations was actually fun.
If you are on the fence like i was, i highly recommend you try the demo.
It's been a long time since I played this tactical style of game, and I found it sensational!
At first, I feel like the game has a lot of content for the player to assimilate, but within a few minutes of gameplay, you already feel what needs to be done and which strategies might work best to win each run.
The continuous upgrade style encourages experimentation...
Having played two full runs (one in the demo for about 2.5 hrs, one in the full game which I was streaming for 3.5 hrs) with three different characters each and both times getting to the final boss (though not killing him) I think I got a pretty good impression of what the game has to offer.
Personally, I really like the way the heroes all feel different...
A very fun game, the team composition is quite solid and it has a very pleasant visual style.
