Gunslugs 2 takes the action chaos genre further than ever before... into space and beyond. Rockets, tanks, choppers, train crashes, huge metal robots, aliens and hordes and hordes of the Black Duck army minions ! It's fun, over the top, action movie parody in a not-so-serious way
I don't find this game enjoyable. It's pretty much the same level, after and after, with different ennemies.
It's better as a mobile game, free-to-play, but not as a game on PC. You can't even change the resolution, ugh.
There's almost no explanation, you just shoot everything in front of you and try your best to get health because it's damn near impossible...
I love the way the game looks, love the pixel art, and I want to love the game but I can't.
Between how much damage you take, how much damage you do, and the health system the game feels terrible.
It was clear one of the design descisions was to add health packs to try to fix this, it doesn't.
Also, fix your options menu, gamepad support, main menu,...
It's a very hectic sidescrolling shooter in the vein of Metal Slug, except its levels are procedurally generated - so there's a new challenge every time you play it. Giant bosses, lots of explosions, fast pace, it's all here with a pinch of funny action movie references. Good fun!

+ Decent shooting mechanics (hold X)
+ Nice attempts at action genre tropes
~ The small viewing area limits strategic play
- Scenery repeats
- Mini-bosses repeat
- Platforms repeat
- Each characters attacks are the same
Where Gunslugs 2 comes up short is after you play Broforce... that...
I was about to write a longer review about this game but how should i do so if the game kinda plays itself if you only hold down the fire button and going right?
I mean it.
I played the first 3 worlds (i guess each 2 levels + boss) and the first level of world 4 and i had NO health problem either ammo problem by just holding down the firebutton, running...
