Gryphon Knight Epic is a 2D Medieval Shoot’em up that mixes elements from classical shoot’em ups, exploration and duel-like boss battles, it tells the story of Sir Oliver and Aquila, an accomplished knight and his loyal gryphon that are forced back to adventure once again!
Some good humor, some bad ideas and really nice design. Quite difficult entry even for a veteran shmups players.
I had a ton of fun playing the game for this Gryphon Knight Epic review. The game is the perfect lenght, and it includes a full trophy count that will surely make trophy hunters happy. The Platinum will definitely require some effort, but if you work hard enough you should have it in your collection.
Gryphon Knight Epic might not be the most mechanically sound shooter to hit the PlayStation 4, but its raw ideas are abundant.
Gryphon Knight Epic is one part fantastic, with a touch of frustration. With a few tweaks and some better design it would be something I could easily recommend for everyone.
