One of my college professors got me from not interested in WW2 at all, to having a borderline unhealthy fascination with the Eastern Front.
Currently playing Karbusel (the 28 turn campaign set in 1943) as the Germans, I'm on turn 5, and we've both lost well over 1K soldiers fighting for a certain hill in the middle of the kilometers-long defensive line....
Very realistic wargame. Steep learning curve, but absolutely shines once you figure it out.
