Gore Screaming Show is a horror visual novel developed by Black Cyc, where a boy named Kyoji seeks to unravel the mysteries that have taken root in his hometown while he was away. Mysteries are tied to a young girl named Yuka, and her companion, the horrific Gore Screaming Show.
I started this game with a strong distaste for what felt to me like angsty teen writing. The setting and the characters didn't hook me at all and came off as simplistic, juvenile and shallow. I genuinely despised the main character for his constantly immature personality. It was a rough start for sure.
But I'm so so so glad that I stuck with it till...

If there was an in between to recommend and not recommend this game, I'd choose that. This is NOT a game to recommend to a friend...
Classic '06 VN with all the edgy and shock-inducing things needed. Due to it, Gore Screaming Show is SOMETHING, I'll say that. The amount of rape, horror and GORE (pun intended) there is, is very astounding for me. But generally, apart from it all, I like the character Gore because he's a funny guy :) (He's the only reason why I finished it anyways.)
