The stars of Grim Guardians are the long-distance focused "Shinobu Kamizono" and the close-range brawler "Maya Kamizono." Players will need to consider the situation when choosing which sister to control as they make their way through the castle, investigating the mystery of what happened to their school and its students.
Other features include 2-player co-op with special actions, extensive difficulty options with the "Style System," unique changes on repeat plays, and most importantly the quality and challenge players have come to expect from Inti Creates titles, this time with a new gothic horror aesthetic.

While the game's poor sign-posting and insistence on replaying levels inevitably introduces a feeling of tedium, it doesn't undo the good things Demon Purge is able to achieve in mechanics, controls, content, and art.
Grim Guardians: Demon Purge is a great-looking 2D platformer that feels just like a Castlevania game. With entertaining characters, and the ability to swap the main characters on the fly. Can get repetitive seeing the same enemies constantly respawning and lack of animated story, it is a solid title overall.

Inti Creates did it again, we have an excellent 2D style classic game that will remind you of the Castlevania series but with its own personality. Despite some minor issues related to a gameplay mechanic you can enjoy it and have fun with this game, we hope to see a sequel in the future.
