At its core, Fright Train is an intriguing game, but several elements still needed more polish, including its heavy repetitiveness, for it to truly stand out. The concept, reminiscent of a blend of Resident Evil and Snowpiercer, certainly promised more than what we ultimately got.
It took me a couple hours to fully understand and appreciate the vision behind Fright Train and how to excel within its gameplay loop, but once I did, it all clicked and I felt myself having a really fun time within its cold cabin confines.
