Flatspace is a top-down space trading game with the emphasis on freedom and exploration. You become captain of a spaceship in a living simulation of a distant galaxy. As a space pilot, you decide how to earn a living; command your crew, buy new and better ships and equipment, and explore.
Thankfully, there's a non perma-death option. I find it much easier playing with mouse and keyboard... and not the Xbox 360 controller. Combat will take me a bit to conquer .. now that I've mastered navigation. Not a bad game at all - a labor of love, for sure. I do like the look of it. Have to hunt down the music software used... nice tunes. Forget...
Great game, played a bunch when I had purchased it before it arrived on Steam. Beautiful Elite-inspired gameplay with its own twist on things. You will die a zillion times early on but that is part of its fun. A true classic.
All in all this game is a fun way to be challenged and still kill time.
