A passion project 10 years in the making, Ember is a homage to classic role-playing games (RPG). Enter the world of Ember as a resurrected “Lightbringer” summoned to protect the dying Embers as the world is on the brink of collapse. Beginning in the Deep Barrows, traverse vast environments divided between aboveground and underground realms – ranging from lush forests to dry deserts and dark abysses – to reach the City of Light. See how the story unfolds through encounters with strangers by making pivotal decisions about your own destiny.
A good isometric old-school RPG which never gets dull.
Embr is an acceptable game in terms of gameplay, but in terms of technology and art has nothing to say.
An enjoyable experience in general, but it also has a significant flaw.
Ember is about as old school RPG as can be, it has touches of most of the elements of RPG though on a smaller scale and not as in-depth. For a player that has never played an RPG it would be a good introduction game for them.
However what I have written above would only be recommended if Ember had received an update as in its present performance state...
Ember is a worthwhile attempt to capture the essence of the classic RPGs we all loved.
