You are a pilot in the government forces stationed at one of the planets under attack. As you get higher on your career ladder, you will be able to choose more advanced hovercrafts and ammunition, as well as to order your own squad and influence local battles.
The goal of the development of the game is to further expand our virtual universe. Based on the huge success of the first game, we are presenting you with the same world, occurring at the same time, but from the point of view of another character, whose adventures unfold according to a different storyline. At times, it will cross the storyline of the previous game, and if you have played "Echelon", you will recognize some places and characters.
Echelon: Wind Warriors is a unique game. This is not a regular space-battle simulator, nor is it a simulator of combat in enclosed labyrinths. The action is taking place above the surfaces of a planet, the picturesque landscapes of which are one of the basic features of the game play. In...
I bought this because it's a classic that I spent a lot of time on when I was younger. It's a fun flight sim with a lot of missions to do.

Basically this is standalone addon for original Echelon game a futurstic action/VTOL-simulation set in same universe and period but from another character perspective. The game features decent flight model which makes you feel of flight and inertion, advanced damage model, a lot of detailed ground, naval...

By the way, it launched on Windows 7 64x without any problems
One of the best combat flight simulators, which, suprisingly, was greatly inspired by the MechWarrior series. After a bit of registry tweaking, runs without problems in FullHD on modern hardware and Win10. This game provides quite unique and enjoyable experience and I can't even recall something similar in the genre.

PITA to get to work, but thankfully many workarounds/guides on steam to get it going.
Let's be honest it is and older game, can't expect it to work on new OS right of the bat.
Controls take some getting used to, but give it...
