"DRAPLINE" is a roguelite training game where you raise a dragon girl who eats anything and train her to become the strongest in one year. Feed her a variety of things to increase her abilities, combine various skills to build your own strategy, and defeat the impending catastrophe!
This game's a masterpiece and I rarely use that word!
9.5/10 , and probably my personal Game of the Year.
...Why's it called "DRAPLINE", you ask? Well, reach the true ending and you'll see with your own eyes when you're worthy!
Mostly created by 1 guy, oozing with soul and charm, a story that made me feel something, buttery smooth menus & animations,...
Is this game some sort of multi-hundred hour crazy value for content title? No.
But it's a game that was made with heart and one I enjoyed start to finish, to give the usual pros/cons for a review:
Pros:
-Artstyle is solid and meshes well with the gameplay overall
-From what I've tried thus far none of the bosses feel too far above or below the expected...
I got lost hiking up a mountain, and I saw a shepherd. I asked him "How far up are we?" and he answered "DRAPLINE" That's when I realised, I already knew the answer. We were at the peak.
This is most likely going to be my GOTY.
Story: Flawless
Gameplay loop: Super addictive and the rng keeps its fresh
