Search for clues in this idle detective RPG that lives quietly in the corner of your screen.
Investigate crime scenes, gain clues, upgrade your stats, and grow stronger across ascensions while you go about your day.
Seemed pretty fun in the beginning, but becomes an absolute slog and a chore.
Yes, it technically does "idle" things (only when running), but it does not actually push you anywhere.
You need to babysit this thing constantly, otherwise your idle running game is only accumulating hours played. The only time it does some kind of semi-idle progression is...
I wanna like it but its really just not hitting any good incremental pacing. Progress is slow - which would be FINE - but it also requires near constant babysitting and menuing to actually have progress. Like it doesn't feel like a minimal idle game, its like "come back every 60 seconds and shift-buy more upgrades.
Also the key way of making money is...
While the game offers a fun concept, It feels sluggish and kind of forces you to keep tab and stay active to not get stuck in progress despite the game saying you just let it idle while you do your own thing. making meaningful progress to improve your stats and global multiplier also is extremely slow and give little back even after 17 hours
Its a pretty fun idle game and in general i recommend it if you like such games.
BUT there is an issue with the probability counter. I'm not a genius or a math superstar by any means, but how is it possible to fail 3 or more investigations with a success probability rate of 80+% in a row. And not just once to call it bad luck. This happens very oft...
This game is just like majority of idlers out there. Nothing special about the upgrades nor the loop. However i just cant ignore the optimalisation and convinience here. Its so charming how a tiny square works and doesnt take almost any calculation power. Thumbs up for great coding
